There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long,
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
Stairway to Heaven
"Stairway to Heaven" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in late 1971. It was composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and vocalist Robert Plant for the band's untitled fourth studio album (often referred to as Led Zeppelin IV). It is often referred to as one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
The song has three sections, each one progressively increasing in tempo and volume. It starts as a slow acoustic-based folk melody accompanied by recorders before introducing electric instrumentation. The final section is an uptempo hard rock arrangement highlighted by Page's intricate guitar solo accompanying Plant's vocals that end with the plaintive a cappella line: "And she's buying a stairway to heaven".
"Stairway to Heaven" was voted #3 in 2000 by VH1 on its list of the 100 Greatest Rock Songs, and was placed at number 31 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". It was the most requested song on FM radio stations in the United States in the 1970s, despite never having been officially released as a single there. In November 2007, through download sales promoting Led Zeppelin's Mothership release, "Stairway to Heaven" hit No. 37 on the UK Singles Chart.
Writing and recording
The recording of "Stairway to Heaven" commenced in December 1970 at Island Records' new Basing Street Studios in London. The song was completed by the addition of lyrics by Plant during the sessions for Led Zeppelin IV at Headley Grange, Hampshire, in 1971. Page then returned to Island Studios to record his guitar solo.
The song originated in 1970 when Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were spending time at Bron-Yr-Aur, a remote cottage in Wales, following Led Zeppelin's fifth American concert tour. According to Page, he wrote the music "over a long period, the first part coming at Bron-Yr-Aur one night". Page always kept a cassette recorder around, and the idea for "Stairway" came together from bits of taped music:
I had these pieces, these guitar pieces, that I wanted to put together. I had a whole idea of a piece of music that I really wanted to try and present to everybody and try and come to terms with. Bit difficult really, because it started on acoustic, and as you know it goes through to the electric parts. But we had various run-throughs [at Headley Grange] where I was playing the acoustic guitar and jumping up and picking up the electric guitar. Robert was sitting in the corner, or rather leaning against the wall, and as I was routining the rest of the band with this idea and this piece, he was just writing. And all of a sudden he got up and started singing, along with another run-through, and he must have had 80% of the words there ... I had these sections, and I knew what order they were going to go in, but it was just a matter of getting everybody to feel comfortable with each gear shift that was going to be coming.
Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones recalled this presentation of the song to him following its genesis at Bron-Yr-Aur:
Page and Plant would come back from the Welsh mountains with the guitar intro and verse. I literally heard it in front of a roaring fire in a country manor house! I picked up a bass recorder and played a run-down riff which gave us an intro, then I moved into a piano for the next section, dubbing on the guitars.
In an interview he gave in 1977, Page elaborated:
I do have the original tape that was running at the time we ran down "Stairway To Heaven" completely with the band. I'd worked it all out already the night before with John Paul Jones, written down the changes and things. All this time we were all living in a house and keeping pretty regular hours together, so the next day we started running it down. There was only one place where there was a slight rerun. For some unknown reason Bonzo couldn't get the timing right on the twelve-string part before the solo. Other than that it flowed very quickly.
The first attempts at lyrics, written by Robert Plant next to an evening log fire at Headley Grange, were partly spontaneously improvised and Page claimed, "a huge percentage of the lyrics were written there and then". Jimmy Page was strumming the chords and Robert Plant had a pencil and paper. Plant later said that suddenly,
My hand was writing out the words, 'There's a lady is sure [sic], all that glitters is gold, and she's buying a stairway to heaven'. I just sat there and looked at them and almost leapt out of my seat." Plant's own explanation of the lyrics was that it "was some cynical aside about a woman getting everything she wanted all the time without giving back any thought or consideration. The first line begins with that cynical sweep of the hand ... and it softened up after that.
The lyrics of the song reflected Plant's current reading. The singer had been poring over the works of the British antiquarian Lewis Spence, and later cited Spence's Magic Arts in Celtic Britain as one of the sources for the lyrics to the song.
In November 1970, Page dropped a hint of the new song's existence to a music journalist in London:
It's an idea for a really long track.... You know how "Dazed and Confused" and songs like that were broken into sections? Well, we want to try something new with the organ and acoustic guitar building up and building up, and then the electric part starts.... It might be a fifteen-minute track.
Page stated that the song "speeds up like an adrenaline flow". He explained:
Going back to those studio days for me and John Paul Jones, the one thing you didn't do was speed up, because if you sped up you wouldn't be seen again. Everything had to be right on the meter all the way through. And I really wanted to write something which did speed up, and took the emotion and the adrenaline with it, and would reach a sort of crescendo. And that was the idea of it. That's why it was a bit tricky to get together in stages.
The complete studio recording was released on Led Zeppelin IV in November 1971. The band's record label, Atlantic Records was keen to issue this track as a single, but the band's manager Peter Grant refused requests to do so in both 1972 and 1973. The upshot of that decision was that record buyers began to invest in the fourth album as if it were a single. In the US, Atlantic issued "Stairway to Heaven" as a 7" promotional single in 1972.
Mystery In The Song (Subliminal Message)
In the early part of the lyrics of the song "Stairway To Heaven" as tells of a woman who was collecting a sum of money, as a solution or achievement at the expense of his life that feels heavy and almost hardly meant to go to heaven. Robert Plant just want to explain clearly the meaning of that song on that part alone.
Here's the background. The song "Stairway To Heaven" was designed as a track start right at the beginning of the 70s, when it was Led Zeppelin intends to write an epic song that is more powerful than "Dazed and Confused" who was often regurgitated in every Led Zeppelin concert stage.
In October 1970, after completing a tour of Led Zeppelin for 18 months, the couple composer Jimmy Page and Robert Plant started working on the song's concentration in a cottage in the Welsh with the name Bron-Aur -yr .In December of Led Zeppelin began recording it in Island Studios London. They began recording the song intro over and over to achieve a perfection. Led Zeppelin does seek a point of satisfaction in recording the works of rock them. Led Zeppelin then moved again to Headley Grange in Liphook Road, Headley, Hampshire. In this area, by hiring a mobile studio belonging to the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin completed the work of the biggest rock of all time . Headley Grange is an artistic building without electricity but has acoustic outer.Led Zeppelin chose this place because it wanted to concentrate fully on recording sessions and do not want their privacy very natural.
Lyrics was sparked from the mind of Robert Plant who get inspiration while sitting with Jimmy Page in front of the hearth fire Headley Grange . Jimmy page then strum the chord guitar. A chord was reverberate "At that time I was holding a pencil and paper. Somehow I was not in the mood again when i think for the lyric. But without my knowing it, my fingers even write a line of lyrics ... .. 'There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold / And she's buying a stairway to heaven.' I just sat there and looked at the words and then I almost leapt out of my seat. "
In an interview, Robert Plant always assume that when writing the lyrics Stairway To Heaven he was not at all eager to write a song. "But somehow there is something then moving my fingers to write the lyrics with the pencil" said Robert Plant.
Now this kind of recognition may then make it as evidence of a landslide that song "Stairway To Heaven" was precisely written by the devil or demon who is possessed of self Robert Plant. Because in many instances this theory tried substantiated by turning upside down (backward) LPs "Stairway To Heaven" and heard a satanic messages in the lyrics of "Stairway To Heaven" . Including linkages linking Jimmy Page with spiritual flow Aleister Crowley.
Other facts also appear when Jimmy Page later Aleister Crowley home in Scotland, known as the church of the devil by the name of The Toolhouse. In various books, Crowley taught his followers to learn to read and speak inverse (backward).
Robert Plant himself admitted to writing the lyrics to Stairway To Heaven, many influenced from various books which include "Magic Arts In Celtic Britain".
On January 1982, Paul Crouch in a TV show tries to analyze the song Stairway To Heaven alleged to contain satanic elements in the lyrics if the song Stairway To Heaven was rotated upside down or backward.Hal it sounds obvious.
Then on 9 months 9 1999, A radio announcer M97FM Classic Rock Station, I try to do backward again to the tune of "Stairway To Heaven" this hotel.I just want to share the case to the listener. I ask for operator assistance at that time to enter the song Stairway To Heaven sourced from tape to computer. Then the computer doing backward by turning off the back, and then back the sound of Robert Plant with messages satanicnya message earlier. At that time a lot of response from listeners who entered Stairway To Heaven song about it.
Led Zeppelin itself may have dozens twenty times denied linkage devil is in the lyrics of the song Stairway To Heaven this. In the magazine Musicians edition 1983 Robert Plant commented as follows: "To me it's very sad, Because 'Stairway to Heaven' was written with every best intention, and as far as reversing tapes and putting messages on the end, that's not my idea of making music. "It means" For me it is very sad, because 'Stairway to Heaven' was written with every best intention, and as far as reversing tapes and putting messages on the end, it was not my idea of making music. "
this is the lyric if we reverse the song
Led Zepplin - Stairway To Heaven (Reverse)
Plaaaay backwards,Hear why its sung here, oppositioner..
Allll on track, all arriving
They all sing, and they are one.
Shall I loathe you now, parishoner?
Oh hear Him, Christian within me.
It stirs my sin; the river,
Oh, she swells with our lousiness.
All my life will end for him?
We're all out of signs, I know I'm sorta shocked
To hear The Lord, My God now will save me!
Oh I will n'er be saved, Because I live with Satan..
One wish today;
That you'll all pray for Three who will make it here late.
Pray now and you'll see, The 'Lord' turned me on,
But, oh, I was the shaggy fool, Clothed in agony,
Lost at a height. There's no escaping it,
Nor his woes.
So here's to my Sweet Satan.
The other's little path Would make me sad Whose power is Satan.
He'll give those with him 666.
And all the evil fools, they know he made us suffer sadly.
Ohohohoh...
"Family won't get loose,
They're offered me."
Always soothes the worker.
Always will be as we know now
"I see ruins," said he,
"the world they offered me?
Who wished the Lord's fall?"
If we lose feather,
Say you'll save me!
And no wimps can bend the rules..
And no wimps can do..
Hunt next to the shore,
'Cause they see all from there,
See here's the news,
Who walks with mute grief!
Perhaps no-one found thee...
"Heavy, lift me out,"
Spake the Reve,
"Someday, failed, we'll lose one line-up,
They've gotta leave forsaken."
And no wimps can do..
And no wimps can do...
He, who say the lords
Thoth have our laws,
Maat must be superb. Mass is ended..
Over there,
He who should learn thee.
Any moot that serves by my sworn music,
I wish it with snow be shushed,
All for my mass's sake.
Hear why its sung,
here, oppositioner, Ohh..
He who should show
May make his show worthy,
To look, for us, odd.. sickly,
There's one chance - take his show.
Hold thy head,
Hear why its sung here. oppositioner.
Who owns this earth built below?
Oh sweet Israel...
A brinicle (brine icicle, also known as ice stalactite) forms beneath sea ice when a flow of extremely cold, saline water is introduced to an area of ocean water, being the undersea equivalent of a hollow stalactite or icicle.
At the time of its creation, a brinicle resembles a pipe of ice reaching down from the underside of a layer of sea ice. Inside the pipe is the supercold, supersaline water being produced by the growth of the sea ice above, accumulated through brine channels. At first, a brinicle is very fragile; its walls are thin and it is largely the constant flow of colder brine that sustains its growth and hinders its melt that would be caused by the contact with the less cold surrounding water. However, as ice accumulates and becomes thicker, the brinicle becomes more stable.
A brinicle can, under the proper conditions, reach down to the seafloor. To do so, the flow of supercold brine from the pack ice overhead must continue, the surrounding water must be significantly less saline than the brine, the water cannot be very deep, the overhead sea ice pack must be still, and currents in the area must be minimal or still. If the surrounding water is too saline, its freezing point will be too low to create a significant amount of ice around the brine plume. If the water is too deep, the brinicle is likely to break free under its own weight before reaching the seafloor. If the icepack is mobile or currents too strong, strain will break the brinicle.
Under the right conditions, including favorable ocean floor topography, a brine pool may be created. However, unlike brine pools created by cold seeps, brinicle brine pools are likely to be very transient as the brine supply will eventually cease.
On reaching the seafloor, it will continue to accumulate ice as surrounding water freezes. The brine will travel along the seafloor in a down-slope direction until it reaches the lowest possible point, where it will pool. Any bottom-dwelling sea creatures, such as starfish or sea urchins can be caught in this expanding web of ice and be trapped, ultimately freezing to death.
The formation of ice from salt water produces marked changes in the composition of the unfrozen water. When water freezes, most impurities are forced out of solution; even ice from seawater is relatively fresh compared with the seawater it is formed from. As a result of forcing the impurities out, sea ice is very porous and spongelike, quite different from the solid ice produced when fresh water freezes.
As the seawater freezes and salt is forced out of the pure ice crystal lattice, the surrounding water becomes more saline. This lowers its freezing temperature and increases itsdensity. The lower freezing temperature means that the surrounding water does not freeze to the ice immediately, and the higher density means that it sinks. Thus tiny tunnels called brine channels are created all through the ice as this supersaline, supercooled water sinks away from the frozen pure water. The stage is now set for the creation of a brinicle.
As this supercooled saline water reaches unfrozen seawater below the ice, it will cause the creation of additional ice. If the brine channels are relatively evenly distributed, the ice pack grows downward evenly. However, if brine channels are concentrated in one small area, the downward flow of the cold water, now so saline that it cannot freeze at its normal freezing point, begins to interact with unfrozen seawater as a flow. Just as hot air from a fire rises as a plume, this cold water descends as a plume. Its outer edges begin to accumulate a layer of ice as the surrounding water, cooled by this jet to below its freezing point, ices up. This is a brinicle: an inverted "chimney" of ice enclosing a downward flow of this supercold, supersaline water.
When the brinicle becomes thick enough, it becomes self-sustaining. As ice accumulates around the down-flowing cold jet, it forms an insulating layer that prevents the cold, saline water from diffusing and warming. As a result, the ice jacket surrounding the jet grows downward with the flow. It is like an icicle turned inside-out; rather than cold air freezing liquid water into layers, down-rushing cold water is freezing the surrounding water, enabling it to descend even deeper. As it does, it creates more ice, and the brinicle grows longer.
A brinicle is limited in size by the depth of the water, the growth of the overlying sea ice fueling its flow, and the surrounding water itself. In 2011, brinicle formation was filmed for the first time.
Now I will discuss about food that caught my attention. This food is the most delicious in the world. This food is in the first place in here http://travel.cnn.com/explorations/eat/worlds-50-most-delicious-foods-067535. Indonesian rendang is in 11 but know we don't talk about rendang but we talk about Massaman curry. This food is from thailand. It's name Massaman curry. These foods have a price around 60.000-150.000 rupiah. Massaman or matsaman is not a native Thai word.
It is generally thought to refer to the Muslims with earlier writers from the
mid-19th century calling the dish "Mussulman curry"; Mussulman
being an archaic form of the word Muslim. The curry is
extolled in a poem from the end of the 18th century, attributed to Prince
Itsarasunthon of Siam, the later King Rama II (1767-1824). It is dedicated
to a lady who is believed to be Princess Bunrot, the later Queen Sri Suyendra, wife of King Rama II.
Due to its
Muslim roots and therefore islamic dietary laws, this curry is most
commonly made with beef,
but there are also variations on this dish using duck,
chicken, mutton, goat, or, less commonly
so, pork.
As pork is haram meat (forbidden food in Islam) this last variant is of course not eaten by muslim. The flavors
of the massaman curry paste (nam phrik
kaeng matsaman) come from spices that are not frequently used in other
Thai curries. cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, cumin, bay leaves, nutmeg and mace would, in the 17th century, have been brought to Thailand from
the Malay Archipelago and South Asia
by foreigners, a trade originally dominated by Muslim traders from the Middle East,
Indian subcontinent and from the archipelago
itself, but increasingly threatened by the Portuguese, the Dutch and French East India Company These are
combined with local produce such as dried chili peppers, cilantro
(coriander) seeds, lemongrass, galangal, white pepper, shrimp paste,
shallots
and garlic to make the massaman
curry paste. This paste is first fried with coconut cream, and only then are
meat, potatoes, onions, fish sauce or salt, tamarind
paste, sugar, coconut milk and peanuts added. Massaman is usually eaten with rice, in a meal together with
other dishes. There are also traditional versions using oranges, orange juice,
or pineapple juice as additional ingredients.
If you want to make this Massaman curry here i give the procedure to make massaman curry.
Ingredients
1/2 lb. beef shoulder (chuck roast) or stew beef, sliced
3 tablespoon whole raw peanuts
4 cup water
1 medium-sized potato, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 tablespoon cooking oil (soybean, peanut or corn oil)
6 whole Thai cardamom seeds, cracked and dry roasted*
1 inch piece of cinnamon stick, dry roasted*
2 tablespoon Thai fish sauce
1 tablespoon palm sugar
2 tablespoon tamarind water
1/4 large white onion, cut into pieces (or 12 peeled whole white pearl onions)
Preparation
Open the coconut milk and scoop the thick coconut cream from the top and set aside (see more details about coconut cream).
Bring the 4 cup of water, beef and peanuts to boil, skimming
the scum from the surface for about 5 minutes. Lower heat to medium and
continue to cook at a low boil uncovered, for approximately one hour.
Remove from the heat and set aside.
Separately, bring the potatoes to boil in enough water to cover for approximately 20 minutes until just slightly under-cooked (al dente).
Drain and discard the potato water (or reserve to make your own
sourdough mix!). Set the potatoes aside. While the beef is cooking you
may make the homemade Massaman Curry Paste.
Heat oil in a large wok
(or other large heavy bottom pan) over medium heat, add the curry paste
and cook briefly until fragrant. Add the reserved coconut cream and
fry until it begins to separate, stirring constantly. Add the boiled
beef and peanuts in its broth and remainder of coconut milk, fish sauce,
palm sugar, tamarind, cinnamon stick, potatoes and onion. Bring to a
boil. Reduce heat to low and cook 10 minutes.
Adjust seasoning with fish sauce, palm sugar and tamarind
water to taste. Massaman curry should be slightly sweet with a very
subtle sour note from the tamarind. Serve with pickled ginger or cucumber relish as condiments.
Serves 4. This curry is even better the next day, reheated, so make double portion and freeze any left-overs.
